Carric Thamior was the first Elf to step foot in Auriin, leading his people out of the Feywild. He reigned as the king of the elves on the prime material plane until his death, which marked the end of the sixth era.
Reign
Thamior reigned from the grand citadel of Elphame, after which the elves were eventually named, on the isle of Midhirak; however, when his people emerged from the Feywild, they were dispersed across the entirety of Auriin. Thus, the early years of Thamior's reign revolved around the reunification of elfkind, bringing together the disparate colonies that had begun to spring up across the continent. This unified faction became the High Elves, with other more isolated groups eventually diverging into distinct subraces such as wood elves and the Sienni.
Death
Thamior died at approximately nine hundred years of age, over seven hundred years after the elves emerged from the Feywild. He died while on a diplomatic mission in the human city of Aeskar Fearn, which was later renamed Carric's Fall in honour of the late monarch, in an attempt to maintain good faith between the humans of Fëaforn and Thamior's grieving elves.
